What is The Hasmonean?

I created The Hasmonean because I wanted to create a Jewish community that united Jews across the multiple spectrums where we exist. Most importantly, I wanted to create a space where Israeli and Diaspora Jews, particularly young Jews, can come, enjoy themselves and feel inspired, united and connected.

The goal of The Hasmonean is to be a combination of fun, funny, irreverent, inspiring, educational, diverse and deeply meaningful content from a proud and unapologetic Jewish and Zionist perspective.

Where are you going?

Right now The Hasmonean has sections on news, movies and tv shows, books, commentary, quizzes, crosswords, and jigsaw puzzles. My goal is to add sections on food, music, comedy, art, poems and short stories, and more content about young Jews, Israel and Jewish culture.
